I can't exactly speak the language. The way they do it works fine. I'm sure if that method didn't work then they wouldn't use it. It can't be too far off from tricking the gear to stay in 3rd. How is there a difference anyway? It shows the spike in shifting but it also shows the entire curve while in the gear. To me it seems as if during the time it is in 3rd that would show the same numbers as it would if we tricked it to stay but this way I also get to see my numbers in all of my other gears. Basically, just ignore the spike in the chart and look at the highest point of the actual curve to get the RWHP numbers.
